audioWAV’s driven and highly motivated CEO, Caloy Hinolan added another milestone to his life story.
He recently finished the Aviva Ironman in Singapore last Sunday, September 7, 2008 by crossing the finish line well before the cutoff time. Caloy says the Ironman was more of an extreme mental challenge than a physical one for him. He finished by relying on willpower and drive despite having only trained less than a month and only learning to swim the Freestyle just two weeks before the race. To add more credence to his determination and unassuming personality, Caloy didn’t even get the best equipment that money could buy. He settled for a local tri-suit brand, an entry-level aluminum road bike and a simple pair of running shoes. Its was also the first time that Caloy had done the 1.9 kilometer swim, 90 kilometer bike and 21 kilometer run all in one day; the ultimate test of the audioWAV penchant for simply going out there and doing it given the resources and conditioning already on hand.
With this achievement, Caloy has set his sights on finishing a full Ironman next year as well as regularly joining triathlons in Asia and the US.
