MANILA, Philippines – Solaire comes alive with the sound (and scent, and sight) of airports as it plays host to the 2nd Philippine Airport Modernization and Expansion Summit on May 24-25, 2017 at its Grand Ballroom in Paranaque.

The event gathers high-level executives, government officials, airport authorities, terminal operators, architects, construction contractors, leading technology solutions providers, and investors, in a comprehensive two-day program that aims to cite commercial challenges while bringing operational efficiency strategies into light. The panel discussions and presentations will also focus on exploring new technology solutions for improvements and innovations to include in future airport expansions. The event also aims to attract more investment into the country’s international and local gateways, with the Philippines being seen as a rapidly developing market in the airport industry in recent years. One development would be the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila relieving itself from being included in the worst list in recent airport satisfaction surveys, in part because of the renovations mandated by the local government. Another prime example would be the inclusion of 4 domestic airports in The Guide to Sleeping in Airports, 30 best airports in the region, namely The Iloilo International Airport in 12th place, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in 14th place, the Clark International Airport in 15th place, and the Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao in 26th place. These improvements pave the way for more opportunity for innovation and expansion of the country’s airports.

Some sponsors and exhibitors to this exciting event include 3M, Midea, JEC Philippines, Aboitiz, Schindler, Airport Suppliers UK, and AudioWAV Media Inc, the country’s pioneer in providing Atmospheric Branding solutions.
